Caleb is a growing illustrator in Singapore. He draws his inspiration from everyday life and the books that he enjoys reading, which range from science fiction to mystery novels and mostly comic books. Spiderman, Mr. Kiasu, Batman, The Great Sasuke, The Undertaker are some of the many characters that he grew up following.
Like any other neighborhood boy, he grew up on a healthy diet of books about people who could communicate with trees, rabbits and sometimes centaurs, and on shows about Professional Wrestling, Intergalactic Space Adventures and Teenagers that protected earth from Giant Aliens. Most of his work explores themes that resonate many classic sci-fi and fantasy themes.
Having graduated with a Diploma in New Media from Republic Polytechnic, Caleb now looks to learn more about how the digital age is reshaping what he originally had plan to do as a long term career, which is to be a freelance illustrator. Occasionally, he tries his hand on other areas such as sculpting, origami and other forms of art to experiment in different forms of expression.
